Blogmas Day 1: 1st Sunday of Advent

I’m so thrilled to take part in Blogmas once again! I can’t believe that the Christmas season is upon us!

In case you’re new to my page, Hello! I’m Cathleen, and I usually post bookish content here. During the month of December, I do Blogmas, in which bloggers post Christmas/Holiday themed content throughout the month of December.

This year, Blogmas begins on Advent Sunday (the 1st Sunday of Advent). Advent is the time of year when Christians celebrate the preparation of the birth of Jesus Christ on the 25th (Christmas Day). For many that celebrate Advent, this begins a time for reflection. We pause to take note on the events that occurred in our lives throughout the year, and solemnly make a note to have patience when planning our future. We go about our daily lives with patience, while readying ourselves for the birth of Jesus.

The Christmas season brings forth stress, but it’s also a time for family and friends to gather joyfully. While tension tends to run high during this time of year, it’s also important to stay mindful of the simple joys already present in our lives!

Stay tuned for some holiday-themed posts throughout the month! I’ll also have my usual bookish content to share with you all.
