November Wrap-Up

Here we are, at the end of November!

I read seven books this month. Three were physical copies of books, while the other four were e-reads. Two of these books were NetGalley reads.

Ruthless Gods by Emily A. Duncan

Rating: 5/5 Stars
I received Ruthless Gods through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed this sequel to Wicked Saints! The pacing was much better than the first book, and more pieces to the pantheon story were added delightfully. And the blood was plentiful! Ruthless Gods will be released on April 2020.

Lock Every Door by Riley Sager

Rating: 4/5 Stars

I received Lock Every Door through a Book of the Month selection in July. Being a former resident of the Big Apple, I really appreciated the New York City nostalgia! The story did move a bit slowly than I would have liked, but it thankfully picked up momentum, with a really good twist!

Deadly Deceit (Harbored Secrets #2) by Natalie Walters

Rating: 4/5 Stars

I received a complimentary copy of Deadly Deceit from Revell Books as part of their blogger group. I found this to be a nicely tense yet feel-good read. I enjoyed the small town environment while figuring out a murder!

Home for Christmas by Catherine Lanigan

Rating: 5/5 Stars
I received a complimentary copy of Home for Christmas as part of Prism Book Tours. I was excited to read a fun, romantic read set around the holiday season. It was a ‘second chance romance’ story that melted my heart!

Becoming by Michelle Obama

Rating: 5/5 Stars
Becoming was purchased through Kindle. It was a memoir with a strong female at the forefront. I loved how Michelle told her story of achievements stet by step. She is a First Lady that truly had disadvantaged women and children at the top of her priority list.

A Dog’s Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron

Rating: 5/5 Stars
I received A Dog’s Purpose at Barnes & Noble. I LOVED this book! It was such an emotional and feel-good read. I’m such a dog person, so this story touched my heart!

Knot on Your Life (Yarn Retreat Mystery #7) by Betty Hechtman

Rating: 4/5 Stars

I received Knot on Your Life through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This was a mystery novel filled with colorful characters and a continuous storyline. It was easy for me to follow along with Casey and her latest murder mystery, and having yearn crafting in the book was an added treat!
