Friday Reads: November 8

Happy Friday!

I had such a productive reading week! Since I’m at home due to a NJ teacher’s convention, I aim to get some more reading done. I hope everyone is having a good day as they wrap up their work week (or preparing to begin your work week…I was once in that position a while back while working retail!).

Here are my current reads:

‘Becoming’ by Michelle Obama
This is Michelle Obama’s autobiographical account of her life. From the streets of Chicago to her college life, Michelle shares life lessons learned while growing up with her loving family. I’m at Michelle’s high school years. She has quite a voice!

Deadly Deceit’ by Natalie Waters
Yes, I finally began reading ‘Deadly Deceit’! Since this is Book 2 in a series, I’m very intrigued if I need to read the first book before absorbing this one. So far I don’t feel completely lost!

I hope you all enjoy your weekend!

November 2019 TBR

I can’t believe that October (and Halloween) is now behind us!

November brings many exciting events: NaNoWriMo (good luck to everyone participating!), and Thanksgiving (gathering with family towards the end of the month. The month also brings forth some new and exciting reads for me to enjoy!

Here is my November TBR pile:

Becoming by Michelle Obama

Becoming is my local library’s Book Club selection for November. I can’t wait to finally read this amazing book!

Deadly Deceit (Harbored Secrets #2) by Natalie Waters

I received a complimentary copy of Deadly Deceit through Revell Books as part of their blogging tour this month. Although I haven’t read the first book, I’m still looking forward to the adventure!

A Dog’s Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron

I’m reading A Dog’s Purpose as part of a buddy read with my husband. Since we both love animals (especially dogs), it should be an amazing read!

The Buried: An Archeology of the Egyptian Revolution by Peter Hessler
I purchased The Buried through Book of the Month a few months ago. Since it’s now ‘Non-Fiction November’, I decided to give this story a go!
