Halloween Plans/Blogtober Day 29

I’m taking part in The Library Looter & Anniek’s Library Blogtober challenge!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and I try to take part in doing a spooky activity every year.

Andy and I love travelling to the pumpkin patch and find some to decorate, and we did just that over the weekend! We found three adorable pumpkins that we’ll certainly decorate before Thursday.

Our adorable pumpkins with our adorable Halloween Peanuts Gang figures!

We also enjoy checking out a show during Halloween weekend, but unfortunately that didn’t pan out for us this year. Next Halloween will definitely be one to check out a show!

Of course, ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ will definitely be watched!

I hope everyone has spooky plans for Halloween!

Blogmas Day 22: Viewing Christmas Decorations

One of the things I enjoy most about the Christmas season is checking out the Christmas displays in different neighborhoods. While Andy and I were in South Jersey today, we took some time to view Christmas lights/decorations. Since I’m a huge Snoopy fan, we went searching for homes with Snoopy/Peanuts displays. We managed to locate some Snoopy Christmas displays, including the one pictured in Delaney’s, a restaurant in downtown Cape May. Of course, many homes featured an array of lights and decorations filled with holiday cheer. I never grow tired of seeing them!

Blogmas Day 5: My ‘Peanuts’ Christmas Decorations

One of the most favorite parts of Christmas is the act of decorating my space. When I was a little girl, I enjoyed watching my grandfather setting up the Christmas lights in the living room. It always took a couple hours for him to arrange the lights, but it always looked like a work of art when it was complete. While I currently don’t live in a home with tons of Christmas lights, I love bringing out my Christmas decorations for my room every year.

Since I enjoy everything Peanuts and Snoopy-related, the following items all feature the characters in their Christmas element.

Andy and I found this little Snoopy over in CVS! We love how he changes in different colors!

This string of lights appear like a rainbow across my window! Each snowflake features Snoopy in his holiday element. This string of lights also plays music!
These three adorable figures display a lovely Christmas feature. I keep all of them near my mirror!
Snoopy the Snowbeagle, with his buddy Woodstock 🙂

Charlie Brown with his beloved Christmas tree!
Sally with her list, and special gift!
This Snoopy came from Macy’s on 2015. Belle was included!
I received Christmas Snoopy and Charlie Brown at Hallmark. They came with a storybook, telling the tale of Snoopy saving Christmas!
Winter/Holiday Snoopy and Woodstock also came from Hallmark last year. I enjoy bringing them out around this time of year!

I also have window decals picturing Snoopy and Woodstock by the Christmas tree, but I will take photos of them later in the week, when the room lighting isn’t reflecting too much!

October 20, 2018: Pumpkin Picking

Today is a ‘staying local’ Saturday: the only big thing that Andy and I did was go pumpkin picking at the buffalo farm in our area. I enjoy searching for pumpkins, and I’m so glad that there was one in the farm that was in great condition. I also made sure to bring my itty bitty Snoopy and Linus, since they rightfully belong in a pumpkin patch!

A couple years ago I would have been extremely annoyed at spending a Saturday night at home. However, now that we need to save money, especially since we’re getting married  next summer, it’s important to keep track of what we spend. If it means spending a weekend night at home, so be it. It will be a productive night; I have lots of reading to catch up on, and Game 7 of NLCS is on, so it will be entertaining.

April 6, 2018: Easter Snoopys

I’m glad that I have all four Easter Snoopys! I chose them by randomly picking packages. The Easter Snoopys were sold in sealed bags that you couldn’t see through them. I still randomly chose a bag with anticipation of the new Itty Bitty Snoopy that would come home. Gladly different Easter Snoopys were selected.
