Wanderlust Book Tag

This book tag was created by Alexandra from Reading by Starlight. I came across it through Zezee from Zezee with Books.

Secrets and lies: a book set in a sleepy small town

Not That I Could Tell by Jessica Strawser

This book is set in the small town of Yellow Springs, Ohio. A close-knit community with a close group of friends, until someone from their circle disappears.

Salt and sand: a book with a beach-side community

House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig
This haunting fairy tale retelling is set in a manor by the ocean, featuring plenty of scenes with journeys by the beach.

Here there be dragons: a book with a voyage on the high seas

Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
Siege and Storm features a quest for a sacred object found in the high seas. This section of the story was one of the few things interesting in this novel!

Tread lightly: a book set down a murky river or a jungle
I’m at a loss for this one!

Frozen wastes: a book with a frost-bitten atmosphere

No Exit by Taylor Adams
A thriller that features people trapped in a blizzard. My kind of story!

The boonies: a book with ruff or isolated terrain

Lock Every Door by Riley Sager
House sitters forbidden to have guests in the apartment, and barred from socializing with anyone in the building. A perfect formula for danger!

Hinterlands and cowboys: a book with a western-esque setting
I don’t read that many western novels, so I have nothing!

Look lively: a book set across sweeping desert sands

Dune by Frank Herbert
I really enjoyed reading Dune. It’s set in quite the dry, desert landscape!

Wild and untamed: a book set in the heart of the woods

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
I loved this adventurous novel that takes a sedentary figure out into the wild world!

Wildest dreams: a whimsical book shrouded in magic

An urban fantasy tale filled with magic and adventure!
